Competition Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms apply to all competitions, prize draws, or similar operating across all Gaydio brands and companies.

Unless stated, the promoter is Gaydio CIC, Suite 1A Manchester One, M1 3LF.

1) Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands) only. Employees or volunteers of Gaydio CIC, Gaydio Brighton, Gaydio Digital, their partners, contributors, recent guests or their immediate families, agencies, or anyone else directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

2) By entering any competition all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

3) All prizes are subject to availability. There will be no cash alternative.

4) Source material utilised by our question compilers will be taken as correct. The decision of the Gaydio judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5) Callers are not necessarily entitled to participate in the on-air competition and will not necessarily appear on-air in the order in which they are called. Gaydio is not obliged to reimburse callers for telephone charges when either on hold or on air.

6) Entry into the competition is deemed as agreement to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the competition.

7) Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transit to the competition address. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

8) In the case of a prize draw, the first correct entry drawn will be the winner.

9) Entries will become the property of Gaydio and will not be returned.

10) Entry into the competition is free and Lottery and Gaming regulations do not apply.

11) No liability will be accepted on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents for any loss, illness or injury resulting directly or otherwise from participation in any competition or promotion.

12) No liability on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents will be accepted for any action, civil or otherwise, taken against individual participants in the promotion.

13) Entrants into the promotion have no claim whatsoever to any intellectual or other property connected to any promotion, which remains in the sole ownership of Gaydio.

14) No promotional activity with any 3rd party, can be undertaken by any participant, before or after the promotion, without the express written consent of Gaydio.

15) Collusion with other participants is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.

16) Entrants may be required to take part in future promotional activity exclusively for Gaydio before/during and/or after the promotion in connection with the promotion.

17) Gaydio reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notification. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions also apply to any subsequent revision, whether notified or not.

18) Unless stated, Standard network charges apply to text entries.

19) Entrants may be contacted via email or phone or text message by Gaydio and its partners. To opt-out please email optout@gaydio.co.uk

20) Competition Prizes are subject to partner conditions as applicable.

21) Gaydio or co-partner cannot be held responsible for delayed or undelivered items that are posted, including but not limited to tickets, wristbands or other entry mechanisms

22) Gaydio or co-partner Is not liable for any expenses incurred by competition entrants and winners related to the provision of this prize.

23) Competitions may be shared across the Gaydio Network. This includes Gaydio in any of the cities we currently broadcast in, under the Gaydio brand on FM or DAB irrespective of the operating company. This also may include, but not limited to, online (including app, website and third party outlets) and via our website and social media.

24) If Gaydio or co-partner is unable to gain contact to the winner and/or the prize is not accepted within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited.

25) Where a prize is for an event, winners may be sent tickets via post or email supplied on the entrant form. Prizes may also be via a guest list or need to be collected in person. Where collection is in person, this will be listed in the additional T&C's below.

26) Prize providers will have their own Terms & Conditions which will always be available up on request. These are the same terms & conditions as a customer who may buy the product being given away. By accepting any prize, you also agree to these

27) Where Gaydio is not the promoter and/or prizes are provided by a third party, Gaydio accept no responsibility if the prize is not delivered. Gaydio will make all reasonable efforts to help resolve non-delivery or delays or other prize related issues, but in entering the competition you acknowledge and accept that Gaydio ultimately is not at fault should such a situation arise.

28) Competitions, prize draws or similar may take place in a single geographic location or across the Gaydio network of stations (which may also include third party radio stations or platforms). This may affect the overall number of entries received and should be taken into account by participants when entering draws.

29) Additional terms and conditions may apply, as below, for specific competitions. Where there is a conflict between the general terms and conditions and specific terms relating to competitions, Gaydio will be solely responsible for deciding which terms take priority.

Entry routes and costs
1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person, multiple entries will not be accepted.

Competition Mechanic
1. To enter the competition, entrant must complete the form on the landing page, answering all questions to the best of their ability.
2. When the competition end time is passed and within 28 days, 1 x winner(s) to the competition will be selected at random from all eligible and correct entries.
3. Gaydio reserve the right to select another winner without notice.
Entry Period
1. Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: From 14:00 on Monday 17th August 2026 (the "start time") to 23:59 on Sunday 30th August 2026 ("end time").
2. Entries submitted before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.
Entry restrictions and eligibility
1. The entrant must ensure all contact details are correct on the entry form.
2. If the winning entrant does not respond to a phone call or email from Gaydio within 24 hours of contact, the winner will forfeit the prize and another prize winner will be selected.
3. Entrants must be 18 or over.
4. By entering the competition, entrants agree to the collection and processing of their personal data by Gaydio, Liberate (Channel Islands Pride), States of Guernsey and associated competition partners
5. Personal data will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without the entrant’s consent, except where required by law.
6. Gaydio, Liberate (Channel Islands Pride) and States of Guernsey reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time without prior notice.
7. Gaydio, Liberate (Channel Islands Pride) and States of Guernsey's decision in all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize
1. 1 x winner will receive the following prize:
  1. The prize provided is for two adults (18 or over), on an Aurigny Airlines return flight to Guernsey for the Pride 2026 weekend celebrations (choose from departure airports; Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Exeter, Gatwick, London City or Southampton), including 23kg hold luggage per person, a 3 or 4 night stay at the Peninsula Hotel (arriving on Thursday 10th September 2026 or Friday 11th September 2026 of the Pride weekend, and leave on Monday 14th September 2026), sharing a double room on a bed and breakfast basis. Tickets will be provided to all surrounding Pride events for the two winners, including transfers to and from Guernsey airport.
    1. Both travellers will be required to present valid photo identification. Travel to and from winners’ home to UK departure point, any other costs, travel insurance or expenses are not included (winner’s responsibility). A shuttle bus will be available all day and evening between the hotel and St Peter Port, but any transport outside of this is the winner’s responsibility.
      Return travel from UK only. No cash alternatives or substitutions. Prize is not transferable, non-refundable and no change will be given. All dates subject to availability at time of booking.
  2. Tickets to the Friday Night ‘Cabaret & Comedy’ tickets - with drag cabaret and campioki, and comedy from Sam Nicoresti (winner of Best Comedy Show at Edinburgh fringe last year)
  3. Two tickets to the Saturday morning ‘Pride Drag Breakfast’ at the Peninsula Hotel
  4. Two tickets to Saturday evening ‘The Afterglow’ Party at the Pride Hotel

2. Gaydio and competition partners eserve the right to exchange, amend or cancel the prize at any time.
3. Prize does not include any extras, including and not limited to accommodation, travel and refreshments above and beyond what is detailed in these terms.
4. Prize will be supplied to the prize draw entrants name only who may be required to show ID
5. Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services.
6. Winner must all be aged 18 years or older – ID may be required
7. Tickets and prize are subject to their own terms and conditions

Entry routes and costs

The prize

    1. These will be provided in the form of 4 x free day passes (this will allow return travel) that will be usable on London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway services only.
    2. Can be used any day, any time, but only on LNR/WMR services.
    3. Tickets are valid for use until 31st December 2026
    4. They are physical tickets and will not work at barriers. So, if a station has a barrier, the winner will need to show a member of staff at the barriers to be given access.
  2. A one-night stay for two people in a standard double room at a hotel in the city of your choice (Birmingham, London or Liverpool only).
  3. £100 to spend on your trip.
    1. This will be paid to the winner via bank transfer within 28 days of the confirmation of the prize
    2. Prize money will only be paid to the winner who may need to provide ID to confirm their identity before bank transfer takes place.

Entry routes and costs
1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

4. Visit Altrincham and Altrincham BID Ltd are the same entity.

Prize draw mechanic and how to win
1. Entrants must 'like' the specified instagram post on the Gaydio instagram account, tag a friend in the comments of the same post and be following the official Gaydio [@gaydio] and VisitAltrincham [@visitaltrincham] instagram accounts as linked.
2. One entry will be accepted per instagram account
3. After the prize draw window closes 1 x winner(s) will be picked at random from all eligible entries.
4. Winner will be contacted via direct message to their instagram account from the official Gaydio instagram account. If your account is private, we will not be able to contact you via direct message. We will therefore contact you in the comment of the specified Instagram post with further instructions.
5. Winner must respond within 24 hours of being contacted to redeem their prize, otherwise specific prize will be forfeited and another winner will be chosen.
6. Winner must provide their full name and email address in order to redeem their prize
7. Winner consents to their contact details being passed to Visit Altrincham and competition partners in order to redeem their prize
8. The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material.
Entry period

  1. From Monday 17^th August 2026 at 17:00 (the "start time") to Monday 24^th August at 10:00 ("end time").
  2. Entries received before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.
Entry restrictions
1. Entrants must be over 18, except employees (and their immediate families) of Altrincham BID Ltd, Gaydio, and any participating venue.
2. Proof of age and identity may be required before a Prize is awarded.

Prize terms
1. If you are picked as the winner, you will be put in contact with a representative at Visit Altrincham, this will be the process on how you build your prize…
  1. 1. You have £500 to spend - build your own itinerary from the categories above, up to a total prize value of £500.
    2. Pick your combination - choose from Brunch, Activity, Dinner, Drinks, Shopping and an Overnight Stay, up to the maximum number of vouchers allowed per category (see table above).
    3. Tell us your choices - let Visit Altrincham know which venues and vouchers you'd like from each category.
    4. Receive your vouchers - vouchers are issued for use directly with each venue and are valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Some exclusions may apply – see below.
    5. Booking your stay - if you choose the overnight stay, Visit Altrincham will book this directly with the venue on the date you request, subject to availability.

1. The winner selects their own combination of vouchers, up to the total prize value of £500, in consultation with Visit Altrincham.
2. The Prize is subject to availability at each venue and to each venue's own opening hours, booking requirements and terms of service. Aside from the overnight stay (booked by Visit Altrincham), the winner is responsible for making bookings directly with venues.
3. The overnight stay element will be booked by Visit Altrincham with the winner's chosen venue, on the date requested by the winner, subject to availability.
4. Vouchers must be used within 6 months of the date of issue. Some exclusions may apply (e.g. blackout dates, minimum spend, or venue-specific booking restrictions), as advised at the time vouchers are issued. Unused vouchers are forfeited after this date, with no extension, cash alternative or compensation offered.
5. Visit Altrincham reserves the right to substitute the Prize, or any element of it, for an alternative venue or voucher of equivalent or greater value, without notice, if a listed venue becomes unavailable.
6. There is no cash alternative to the Prize, in whole or in part, and it is not transferable or exchangeable except at the Promoter's discretion. Any unused value cannot be redeemed for cash or credited towards future use.
7. Visit Altrincham, Gaydio and participating venues accept no responsibility for loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered as a result of entering the Promotion or using the Prize, except where caused by the negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.
8. Gaydio and Visit Altrincham reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Promotion, or these Terms, at any time for reasons outside its control.
9. Gaydio and Visit Altrincham may disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria or who breaches these Terms.
10. Venues listed above have agreed to participate as at the date of publication. Gaydio and Visit Altrincham is not responsible for the acts, omissions, products or services of any third-party venue. Any voucher or booking provided as part of the Prize is subject to the individual venue's own terms and conditions, in addition to these Terms.
11. Personal data collected from entrants will be used by Gaydio and Visit Altrincham solely to administer the Promotion, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
