Competition Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms apply to all competitions, prize draws, or similar operating across all Gaydio brands and companies. 

Unless stated, the promoter is Gaydio CIC, Suite 1A Manchester One, M1 3LF.

1) Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands) only. Employees or volunteers of Gaydio CIC, Gaydio Brighton, Gaydio Digital, their partners, contributors, recent guests or their immediate families, agencies, or anyone else directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

2) By entering any competition all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

3) All prizes are subject to availability. There will be no cash alternative.

4) Source material utilised by our question compilers will be taken as correct. The decision of the Gaydio judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5) Callers are not necessarily entitled to participate in the on-air competition and will not necessarily appear on-air in the order in which they are called. Gaydio is not obliged to reimburse callers for telephone charges when either on hold or on air.

6) Entry into the competition is deemed as agreement to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the competition.

7) Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transit to the competition address. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

8) In the case of a prize draw, the first correct entry drawn will be the winner.

9) Entries will become the property of Gaydio and will not be returned.

10) Entry into the competition is free and Lottery and Gaming regulations do not apply.

11) No liability will be accepted on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents for any loss, illness or injury resulting directly or otherwise from participation in any competition or promotion.

12) No liability on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents will be accepted for any action, civil or otherwise, taken against individual participants in the promotion.

13) Entrants into the promotion have no claim whatsoever to any intellectual or other property connected to any promotion, which remains in the sole ownership of Gaydio.

14) No promotional activity with any 3rd party, can be undertaken by any participant, before or after the promotion, without the express written consent of Gaydio.

15) Collusion with other participants is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.

16) Entrants may be required to take part in future promotional activity exclusively for Gaydio before/during and/or after the promotion in connection with the promotion.

17) Gaydio reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notification. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions also apply to any subsequent revision, whether notified or not.

18) Unless stated, Standard network charges apply to text entries.

19) Entrants may be contacted via email or phone or text message by Gaydio and its partners. To opt-out please email optout@gaydio.co.uk

20) Competition Prizes are subject to partner conditions as applicable.

21) Gaydio or co-partner cannot be held responsible for delayed or undelivered items that are posted, including but not limited to tickets, wristbands or other entry mechanisms

22) Gaydio or co-partner Is not liable for any expenses incurred by competition entrants and winners related to the provision of this prize.

23) Competitions may be shared across the Gaydio Network. This includes Gaydio in any of the cities we currently broadcast in, under the Gaydio brand on FM or DAB irrespective of the operating company. This also may include, but not limited to, online (including app, website and third party outlets) and via our website and social media.

24) If Gaydio or co-partner is unable to gain contact to the winner and/or the prize is not accepted within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited.

25) Where a prize is for an event, winners may be sent tickets via post or email supplied on the entrant form. Prizes may also be via a guest list or need to be collected in person. Where collection is in person, this will be listed in the additional T&C's below.

26) Prize providers will have their own Terms & Conditions which will always be available up on request. These are the same terms & conditions as a customer who may buy the product being given away. By accepting any prize, you also agree to these

27) Where Gaydio is not the promoter and/or prizes are provided by a third party, Gaydio accept no responsibility if the prize is not delivered. Gaydio will make all reasonable efforts to help resolve non-delivery or delays or other prize related issues, but in entering the competition you acknowledge and accept that Gaydio ultimately is not at fault should such a situation arise. 

28) Competitions, prize draws or similar may take place in a single geographic location or across the Gaydio network of stations (which may also include third party radio stations or platforms). This may affect the overall number of entries received and should be taken into account by participants when entering draws. 

29) Additional terms and conditions may apply, as below, for specific competitions. Where there is a conflict between the general terms and conditions and specific terms relating to competitions, Gaydio will be solely responsible for deciding which terms take priority.

 

WIN AN OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE FINGAL HOTEL

  1. Entry routes and costs
    1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person, multiple entries will not be accepted.
    2. Entry is free of charge
  2. The competition is promoted on Gaydio across the UK and in our broadcast locations: London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle & Gateshead, Portsmouth
  3. Competition Mechanic
    1. To enter the competition, a listener must complete the form on the landing page, answering all questions to the best of their ability.
    2. When the competition end time is passed and within 28 days, 1 winner to the competition will be selected at random from all eligible and correct entries.
    3. Gaydio reserve the right to select another winner without notice.
  4. Entry Period
    1. Entries must be submitting during the following entry period: From 00:01 Monday 18th May 2026 (the "start time") to 23:59 Sunday 30th May 2026 ("end time").
    2. Entries submitted before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.
  5. Entry restrictions and eligibility
    1. The entrant must ensure all contact details are correct on the entry form.
    2. If any of the winning entrants do not respond to a phone call or email from Gaydio within 7 days of contact, the winner will forfeit the prize and another prize winner will be selected.
    3. Entrants agree to their information being passed on to prize providers for prize fulfilment.
    4. Entrants must be 18 or over.
  6. The prize
    1. One winner will recieve:
      1. An overnight stay in a classic cabin
        1. Subject to availability. Pre-booking essential.
        2. Must be redeemed before 30th December 2026.
        3. Excludes key city dates, peak dates and weekends.
      2. 3-course dinner for two in Fingal Hotel’s Lighthouse Restaurant
      3. 1 x Bottle of house wine.
    2. Prize does not include any extras, including and not limited to accommodation, travel and refreshments above and beyond what is detailed in these terms.
    3. Prize will be supplied to the prize draw entrants name only who may be required to show ID
    4. Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services.
    5. Gaydio & Fingal Hotel reserve the right to change these terms and conditions.
    6. Prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the prize provider

The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical - On Air Competition – Friday 22nd May 16:00-19:00

  1. Entry routes and costs

    1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person, multiple entries will not be accepted.

    2. Entry is the cost of a standard text

  2. The competition is promoted on Gaydio across the UK and in our broadcast locations: London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle & Gateshead, Portsmouth

  3. Competition Mechanic

    1. The Listener needs to text "Gaydio WIN" to 81400 when the presenter opens the competition text lines and before the announced closing time.

    2. We will run a ‘answer a question correctly to unlock another part to the prize’ mechanic.  This will be known on air as the “Miranda Minute”

    3. Within the time periods stated above, the presenters will prompt  listeners to text in for the chance to play the “Miranda Minute”.

    4. If the contestant gets through and is brought to air they will automatically win a ticket to see The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical

    5. Then they will play ‘phase 2’ of the game. In a roughly one minute segment, a caller will be asked up to 7 questions. For every question they get correctly, they will win an additional prize:

      1. A second ticket to see The Devil Wears Prada The Musical

      2. Return UK train tickets

      3. £200 Westfield Shopping Voucher

      4. Additional £100 Westfield Shopping Voucher

      5. Additional £100 Westfield Shopping Voucher

    6. The contestant won’t be told after answering the question if they are correct and will move on to the next question in order to get through as many as possible and give the entrant the best chance of winning.

    7. The contestant will only be deemed a winner, upon being selected and told by the presenter and the radio production team that they are a winner.  

    8. Please note that the  production teams reserve the right to amend the competition mechanic at any point should they deem it necessary. The judge’s decision (the judge’s being the  production teams) is final and at any point they are free to not award a prize should they deem it necessary.

    9. There may be points within the process that the  production teams pre-record elements of the competition and play it out ‘as live’.  

    10. Gaydio reserve the right to select another winner without notice.

    11. Gaydio reserve the right to cancel the contest without notice.

  4. Entry Period

    1. There will be one chance to win during the 16:00-19:00 show on Friday 22nd May 2026.

    2. Entries must be submitting during the above entry period: from when the presenter announces the text lines are open and before the announced closing time. This will be made clear by the presenter on air for each competition round.

    3. Entries submitted before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.

  5. Entry restrictions and eligibility

    1. The entrant must ensure all contact details are correct on the entry form.

    2. If any of the winning entrants do not respond to a phone call after 2 attempts of contact from Gaydio the winner will forfeit the prize and another prize winner will be selected.

    3. Entrants must be 18 or over.

    4. Texts will cost a standard network rate message

  6. The prize

    1. One ticket to see The Devil Wears Prada The Musical at the Dominion Theatre, London.

    2. Potential to win subject to answering questions correctly:

      1. An additional ticket to see The Devil Wears Prada The Musical at the Dominion Theatre, London – this effectively converts the prize into a pair of tickets rather than two separate tickets.

      2. Up to £500 to spend at Westfield London.

      3. Return train tickets to London for mainland UK – up to the value of £300.

    3. The prize is not transferable and cannot be redeemed in full or part for cash or any other alternative prize.

    4. Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in the promotion. 

    5. The prize may be cancelled, altered or amended by the promoter or the provider (The Devil Wears Prada The Musical) at any time.
