Competition Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms apply to all competitions, prize draws, or similar operating across all Gaydio brands and companies.

Unless stated, the promoter is Gaydio CIC, Suite 1A Manchester One, M1 3LF.

1) Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands) only. Employees or volunteers of Gaydio CIC, Gaydio Brighton, Gaydio Digital, their partners, contributors, recent guests or their immediate families, agencies, or anyone else directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

2) By entering any competition all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

3) All prizes are subject to availability. There will be no cash alternative.

4) Source material utilised by our question compilers will be taken as correct. The decision of the Gaydio judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5) Callers are not necessarily entitled to participate in the on-air competition and will not necessarily appear on-air in the order in which they are called. Gaydio is not obliged to reimburse callers for telephone charges when either on hold or on air.

6) Entry into the competition is deemed as agreement to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the competition.

7) Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transit to the competition address. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

8) In the case of a prize draw, the first correct entry drawn will be the winner.

9) Entries will become the property of Gaydio and will not be returned.

10) Entry into the competition is free and Lottery and Gaming regulations do not apply.

11) No liability will be accepted on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents for any loss, illness or injury resulting directly or otherwise from participation in any competition or promotion.

12) No liability on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents will be accepted for any action, civil or otherwise, taken against individual participants in the promotion.

13) Entrants into the promotion have no claim whatsoever to any intellectual or other property connected to any promotion, which remains in the sole ownership of Gaydio.

14) No promotional activity with any 3rd party, can be undertaken by any participant, before or after the promotion, without the express written consent of Gaydio.

15) Collusion with other participants is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.

16) Entrants may be required to take part in future promotional activity exclusively for Gaydio before/during and/or after the promotion in connection with the promotion.

17) Gaydio reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notification. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions also apply to any subsequent revision, whether notified or not.

18) Unless stated, Standard network charges apply to text entries.

19) Entrants may be contacted via email or phone or text message by Gaydio and its partners. To opt-out please email optout@gaydio.co.uk

20) Competition Prizes are subject to partner conditions as applicable.

21) Gaydio or co-partner cannot be held responsible for delayed or undelivered items that are posted, including but not limited to tickets, wristbands or other entry mechanisms

22) Gaydio or co-partner Is not liable for any expenses incurred by competition entrants and winners related to the provision of this prize.

23) Competitions may be shared across the Gaydio Network. This includes Gaydio in any of the cities we currently broadcast in, under the Gaydio brand on FM or DAB irrespective of the operating company. This also may include, but not limited to, online (including app, website and third party outlets) and via our website and social media.

24) If Gaydio or co-partner is unable to gain contact to the winner and/or the prize is not accepted within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited.

25) Where a prize is for an event, winners may be sent tickets via post or email supplied on the entrant form. Prizes may also be via a guest list or need to be collected in person. Where collection is in person, this will be listed in the additional T&C's below.

26) Prize providers will have their own Terms & Conditions which will always be available up on request. These are the same terms & conditions as a customer who may buy the product being given away. By accepting any prize, you also agree to these

27) Where Gaydio is not the promoter and/or prizes are provided by a third party, Gaydio accept no responsibility if the prize is not delivered. Gaydio will make all reasonable efforts to help resolve non-delivery or delays or other prize related issues, but in entering the competition you acknowledge and accept that Gaydio ultimately is not at fault should such a situation arise.

28) Competitions, prize draws or similar may take place in a single geographic location or across the Gaydio network of stations (which may also include third party radio stations or platforms). This may affect the overall number of entries received and should be taken into account by participants when entering draws.

29) Additional terms and conditions may apply, as below, for specific competitions. Where there is a conflict between the general terms and conditions and specific terms relating to competitions, Gaydio will be solely responsible for deciding which terms take priority.

National Express - On Air Competitions

Entry routes and costs
1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person, multiple entries will not be accepted.
2. Entry is free of charge
The competition is promoted on Gaydio across the UK and in our broadcast locations: London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle & Gateshead, Portsmouth
Competition Mechanic
1. To enter the competition, a listener must text the words GAYDIO HOLIDAY to 81400, charged at the entrants standard network rate when the presenters opens the lines on air between 7am and 10am.
2. The presenter will announce a competition closing time and when the lines are closed, an entrant will be selected at random to come to air and answer one question. If the entrant answers correctly, they will win the prize. If the entrant fails to answer the question correctly, they will forfeit the prize and another entrant will be selected at random. This process is repeated until a winner is eventually found.
3. Gaydio reserve the right to select another winner without notice.
4. Gaydio reserve the right to cancel the contest without notice.
Entry Period
1. Entries must be submitting during the entry period as announced on Gaydio Breakfast between 7am and 10am.
2. Entries submitted before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.
3. Three contests will take place:
  1. Contest 1: Wednesday 28th May 2025 (between 4pm and 7pm)
  2. Contest 2: Friday 30th May 2025 (between 7am and 10am)
  3. Contest 3: Friday 6th June 2025 (between 7am and 10am)
Entry restrictions and eligibility
1. Entrants must be 18 or over.
2. Entrants must have a valid UK passport.
The prize
1. Return National Express coach transfers for 2 x adults
2. Winner will receive voucher codes to book the service of their choice (Subject to availability)
3. Pick up from any served National Express coach station to any served National Express airport.
4. Each passenger is allowed one hand luggage (soft item) and one hold luggage (large suitcase) weighing a maximum of 20kg. Full details on our luggage policy can be found here: https://www.nationalexpress.com/en/help/luggage-lost-property
5. A voucher for travel will be issued and is valid for use until 31st December 2025. Not available for travel on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Bookings must be made at least 1 day in advance of outbound travel.

7. Travel is subject to availability and can be cancelled or amended by National Express at short notice.
8. Subject to availability, no cash refunds, non transferable once booked and no cash alternative will be offered.
9. At least one traveller must be aged 18 or over; Children under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel
10. Once booked and confirmed, dates for taking the prize cannot be amended.
11. Travel insurance is not included as part of the Prize and is the responsibility of the prize winner and any of their guests to secure and to pay for.
12. It is your responsibility to ensure that you (and any of your guests) are fit, well and able to travel & to take part on rides and attractions. We reserve the right to withdraw the prize from a prize winner and re-award the prize to another entrant where health reasons or concerns prevent a prize winner (or any of their guests) from taking up the Prize.
13. Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in the promotion.

The prize
1. Five £100 gift vouchers, each for a different individual brand available at Gunwharf Quays outlet. No cash or alternative prizes are available. Gift vouchers can only be issued for brands that retail their own gift cards. If a selected brand does not offer gift cards, the winner must choose an alternative brand.
2. Prizes must be arranged through the Gunwharf Quays marketing contact within 14 days of the winner being notified. The individual brands specific gift card terms and conditions will apply
3. One night stay at Queens Hotel, Portsmouth.
4. The hotel stay must be arranged directly with the hotel’s marketing contact within 14 days of the winner being notified. No cash alternative is available.
5. The stay must take place between Monday and Thursday, anytime from June 9 to September 9, 2025. The prize includes one standard double room only; no alternatives or upgrades will be offered.
6. The hotel stay is subject to availability.
7. The prize DOES NOT include any extras, including but not limited to flight or other transport, spending money, additional activities as well as food or drink that isn't detailed in the prize.
8. The prize is not transferable and cannot be redeemed in full or part for cash or any other alternative prize.

7. Gaydio and HERE at Outernet's decision in all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Terms & Conditions:
•   The prize package is for two (2) people, all of whom must travel at the same time with the same itinerary;
•   At least 1 person travelling must be over the age of 18; where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission;
•   Economy flights from major UK airports to Paris, Barcelona, Prague or Berlin only (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties); Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;
•   Travel arrangements, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the winner or companion/s’ home and UK departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companion/s;
•   Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room in Paris, Barcelona, Prague or Berlin; Accommodation will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;
