Competition Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms apply to all competitions, prize draws, or similar operating across all Gaydio brands and companies.

Unless stated, the promoter is Gaydio CIC, Suite 1A Manchester One, M1 3LF.

1) Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands) only. Employees or volunteers of Gaydio CIC, Gaydio Brighton, Gaydio Digital, their partners, contributors, recent guests or their immediate families, agencies, or anyone else directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

2) By entering any competition all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

3) All prizes are subject to availability. There will be no cash alternative.

4) Source material utilised by our question compilers will be taken as correct. The decision of the Gaydio judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5) Callers are not necessarily entitled to participate in the on-air competition and will not necessarily appear on-air in the order in which they are called. Gaydio is not obliged to reimburse callers for telephone charges when either on hold or on air.

6) Entry into the competition is deemed as agreement to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the competition.

7) Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transit to the competition address. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

8) In the case of a prize draw, the first correct entry drawn will be the winner.

9) Entries will become the property of Gaydio and will not be returned.

10) Entry into the competition is free and Lottery and Gaming regulations do not apply.

11) No liability will be accepted on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents for any loss, illness or injury resulting directly or otherwise from participation in any competition or promotion.

12) No liability on the part of Gaydio, its co-promoters or agents will be accepted for any action, civil or otherwise, taken against individual participants in the promotion.

13) Entrants into the promotion have no claim whatsoever to any intellectual or other property connected to any promotion, which remains in the sole ownership of Gaydio.

14) No promotional activity with any 3rd party, can be undertaken by any participant, before or after the promotion, without the express written consent of Gaydio.

15) Collusion with other participants is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.

16) Entrants may be required to take part in future promotional activity exclusively for Gaydio before/during and/or after the promotion in connection with the promotion.

17) Gaydio reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notification. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions also apply to any subsequent revision, whether notified or not.

18) Unless stated, Standard network charges apply to text entries.

19) Entrants may be contacted via email or phone or text message by Gaydio and its partners. To opt-out please email optout@gaydio.co.uk

20) Competition Prizes are subject to partner conditions as applicable.

21) Gaydio or co-partner cannot be held responsible for delayed or undelivered items that are posted, including but not limited to tickets, wristbands or other entry mechanisms

22) Gaydio or co-partner Is not liable for any expenses incurred by competition entrants and winners related to the provision of this prize.

23) Competitions may be shared across the Gaydio Network. This includes Gaydio in any of the cities we currently broadcast in, under the Gaydio brand on FM or DAB irrespective of the operating company. This also may include, but not limited to, online (including app, website and third party outlets) and via our website and social media.

24) If Gaydio or co-partner is unable to gain contact to the winner and/or the prize is not accepted within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited.

25) Where a prize is for an event, winners may be sent tickets via post or email supplied on the entrant form. Prizes may also be via a guest list or need to be collected in person. Where collection is in person, this will be listed in the additional T&C's below.

26) Prize providers will have their own Terms & Conditions which will always be available up on request. These are the same terms & conditions as a customer who may buy the product being given away. By accepting any prize, you also agree to these

27) Where Gaydio is not the promoter and/or prizes are provided by a third party, Gaydio accept no responsibility if the prize is not delivered. Gaydio will make all reasonable efforts to help resolve non-delivery or delays or other prize related issues, but in entering the competition you acknowledge and accept that Gaydio ultimately is not at fault should such a situation arise.

28) Competitions, prize draws or similar may take place in a single geographic location or across the Gaydio network of stations (which may also include third party radio stations or platforms). This may affect the overall number of entries received and should be taken into account by participants when entering draws.

29) Additional terms and conditions may apply, as below, for specific competitions. Where there is a conflict between the general terms and conditions and specific terms relating to competitions, Gaydio will be solely responsible for deciding which terms take priority.

MARIAH CAREY - JUNE 2025 INSTAGRAM COMPETITION

Entry routes and costs
1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person.
2. The online competition is promoted across all of Gaydio's broadcast locations: London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds and Portsmouth.
3. Entry to the competition is available via the following routes:

Prize draw mechanic and how to win
1. Entrants must 'like' the specified instagram post on the Gaydio instagram account, tag a friend in the comments of the same post and be following the official Gaydio and Heritage Live instagram accounts as linked.
2. One entry will be accepted per instagram account
3. After the prize draw window closes 1 x winner(s) will be picked at random from all eligible entries.
4. Winner will be contacted via direct message to their instagram account from the official Gaydio instagram account. If your account is private, we will not be able to contact you via direct message. We will therefore contact you in the comment of the specified Instagram post with further instructions.
5. Winner must respond within 24 hours of being contacted to redeem their prize, otherwise specific prize will be forfeited and another winner will be chosen.
6. Winner must provide their full name and email address in order to redeem their prize
7. Winner consents to their contact details being passed to Heritage Live Festivals promotors and competition partners in order to redeem their prize
8. The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material.
Entry period
1. Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:
  1. From Monday 16th June 2025 at 17:00 (the "start time") to Monday 23rd June 2025 at 10:00 ("end time").
  2. Entries received before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.

The prize
1. One winner will receive the following prize:
  1. 2 x BRONZE VIP packages to Mariah Carey at the Royal Sandringham Estate on 15th August 2025. Bronze VIP includes the following:
    1. Exclusive use of Sandringham Gardens to relax & explore between 10am and 6pm,
    2. Access to the entire VIP Guest Area throughout the day and evening to enjoy the concert, with VIP toilets, VIP Bars (cards only), a variety of unreserved additional relaxed seating areas (first-come-first-served), scattered on the grass within the VIP compound, plus 'street artist' entertainment.
2. Gaydio reserve the right to exchange, amend or cancel the prize at any time.
3. Prize does not include any extras, including and not limited to accommodation, travel and refreshments above and beyond what is detailed in these terms.

Entry routes and costs

Competition Mechanic
1. To enter the competition, entrant must complete the form on the landing page, answering all questions to the best of their ability.
2. When the competition end time is passed and within 28 days, 1 x winner to the competition will be selected at random from all eligible and correct entries.
3. Gaydio reserve the right to select another winner without notice.
Entry Period
1. Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: From 00:01 on Monday 16th June 2025 (the "start time") to 23:59 on Sunday 29th June 2025 ("end time").
2. Entries submitted before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.
Entry restrictions and eligibility
1. The entrant must ensure all contact details are correct on the entry form.
2. If any of the winning entrants do not respond to a phone call or email from Gaydio within 24 hours of contact, the winner will forfeit the prize and another prize winner will be selected.
3. Entrants must be 18 or over.
4. By entering the competition, entrants agree to the collection and processing of their personal data by Basel Tourismus and associated competition partners.
5. Personal data will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without the entrant’s consent, except where required by law.
6. Gaydio and Basel Tourismus reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time without prior notice.
7. Gaydio and Basel Tourismus' decision in all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. Swiss International Airlines is not responsible for any costs due to delay, cancellation or disruption of service or denied boarding compensation.
  4. Any income tax liability incurred in connection with these tickets is the responsibility of the passenger.
9. Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services, and extensions to travel dates are not permitted.
10. The prize does not include any extras including, but not limited to, travel, accomodation and refreshment other than what is detailed above
11. Entrants must live in either the UK or Northern Ireland and be over 18 years of age.
12. The Prize winner is responsible for obtaining proper travel documentation (e.g., passports, visas etc).
13. Prize providers will not be responsible for insurance, ground transportation or any additional expenses relating to your flight or stay.
14. Prize providers are not responsible if the winner is denied entrance into any country for any reason
15. Basel Tourismus, Gaydio and their partners accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by the winner resulting from accepting the prize
16. Prize package will be supplied to the prize draw entrants name only who may be required to show ID on arrival
17. Valid ID may be required to redeem hotel stay and associated experiences
18. The competition is not open to employees, for friends and family of employees of Gaydio, Basel Tourismus or other associated competition partners
19. Winner and guests must all be aged 18 years or older – ID may be required

Bill's Restaurants - On Air Competitions

Entry routes and costs
1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person, multiple entries will not be accepted.
2. Entry is free of charge
The competition is promoted on Gaydio across the UK and in our broadcast locations: London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle & Gateshead, Portsmouth
Competition Mechanic
1. To enter the competition, a listener must text the words 'GAYDIO WIN' to 81400, charged at the entrants standard network rate when the presenter(s) opens the lines on air between 07:00 and 10:00.
2. The presenter(s) will announce a competition closing time and when the lines are closed, an entrant will be selected at random to come to air and answer one qualifying question. If the entrant answers correctly, they will win the prize. If the entrant fails to answer the question correctly, they will forfeit the prize and another entrant will be selected at random. This process is repeated until a winner is eventually found.
3. Gaydio reserve the right to select another winner without notice.
4. Gaydio reserve the right to cancel the contest without notice.
Entry Period
1. Entries must be submitting during the entry period as announced on Gaydio Breakfast between 07:00 and 10:00.
2. Entries submitted before the start time or after the end time will be invalid.
3. Four contests will take place:
  1. Contest 1: Friday 13th June 2025 (between 07:00 and 10:00)
  2. Contest 2: Friday 20th June 2025 (between 07:00 and 10:00)
  3. Contest 3: Friday 27th June 2025 (between 07:00 and 10:00)
  4. Contest 4: Friday 5th July 2025 (between 07:00 and 10:00)
