Tips for your application

Gaydio Account Manager

Before applying, we recommend reading:

A day in the life of an Account Manager at Gaydio

This short Q&A explains what the role is really like, the kinds of campaigns you may work on and what working at Gaydio looks like day to day.

Before starting your application, the tips below may help you present your experience clearly and give you the best chance of progressing to the interview stage.

Each year we receive strong applications. Sometimes great candidates miss out simply because their application didn’t fully reflect their experience or achievements. Taking a little time to explain your experience clearly can make a big difference.

  • Write in your own voice. We want to hear about you, your experience and how you think. If you use tools such as ChatGPT to help structure your thinking, make sure the final answers reflect your own words and perspective.
  • Give enough detail. We review applications against the criteria in the person specification. Very short answers can make it difficult for us to understand how your experience matches the role.
  • Use real examples. Instead of simply listing skills, describe situations where you used them and what happened as a result.
  • Show results where possible. If you have experience in sales, media or campaigns, include outcomes such as revenue generated, targets achieved, campaigns delivered or partnerships developed.
  • Check spelling and clarity. Your application doesn’t need to be perfect, but clear written communication is important when working with clients and partners.
  • Ask someone to review your answers. A friend, colleague or mentor may help you spot areas where you could add more detail.
  • Let us know if you need support. If you require adjustments or additional support when completing your application, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

If you’re excited about the role but unsure whether you meet every requirement, we’d still encourage you to apply.
