The Pieces with Bimini
Tuesday, 18 March 2025 - 47 minutes
David Walliams is one of the UK's most celebrated comedians, writers and TV personalities.
As the co-creator (with Matt Lucas) of the acclaimed BBC comedy series Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, David dominated early-00's pop culture. For his stint on Britain's Got Talent, he won Best TV Judge at the National Television Awards for 4 years. He is also the fastest-growing children's author in the UK, having sold over 50m book worldwide with stories translated into 53 languages.
Through-out his career, David has dedicated himself to charity - including raising more than £1.5m for sport relief by swimming the channel. As culture has changed since his career started, he has continued to adapt his work to try and bring joy around the world.
On this episode of The Pieces, Bimini and David discuss their first encounter, David's comedic partnership with Matt Lucas and the inspiration behind some of his beloved characters. They also talk about the impact of social media algorithms on how we view the world and the importance of self-expression.
