Typhoons RUFC x Loosheadz Charity event

Preston, Lancashire – Saturday, 3rd May 2025 – Typhoons RUFC, Lancashire’s first inclusive rugby club, is proud to announce a charity event held at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club in partnership with Looseheadz, a renowned mental health charity. The event aims to raise awareness of mental health challenges while celebrating togetherness and community through sport.
The day will feature:

- Rugby Union Matches: Two exciting games showcasing teamwork and passion.
- Touch Rugby Showcase: Demonstrating inclusivity and unity in sport.
- Engagement Opportunities: Speak with representatives from participating charities and sponsors to learn about their impactful work.
- Family Fun: Enjoy games with prizes and a raffle to raise funds for Looseheadz.

Looseheadz works tirelessly to champion mental health and tackle stigma within communities, using rugby as a platform to promote awareness and welfare. In recent months, the North West has mourned the loss of several rugby players close to home, making this event a vital opportunity to honor their memory and provide support to those who may be struggling. The message is clear: IT IS OK, NOT TO BE OK.
