More Information (Gaydio — The UK's LGBTQ+ Station is not responsible for external websites)
The Corn Exchange hosts performances and community stalls, with Dorset Gardens given over to a family-friendly picnic area and New Steine Gardens to additional community stalls. Brighton Trans Pride was founded in 2013 and has grown from grassroots beginnings to draw over 30,000 people in recent years, with the team also running the Trans Pride Centre, a year-round community space for trans and non-binary people in Brighton, opened in 2022. The event is both protest and celebration, with the organisers regularly speaking out on trans healthcare, policy and rights at speeches before the march.
Entry to all parts of Brighton Trans Pride is free. The event is family-friendly and runs alongside Brighton & Hove Pride's wider August weekend, but is a separate, distinct event with a clear focus on the trans, non-binary and intersex community. Brighton Trans Pride won the Grassroots Pride of the Year award at the Gaydio Awards 2023. Check the Trans Pride Brighton website for confirmed details, accessibility info and ways to support, donate or volunteer.
