Buxton Crescent Spa Hotel
Get married in style at Buxton Crescent Spa Hotel
The Buxton Crescent Spa Hotel offers the perfect location for your wedding, situated in the iconic Grade 1 listed Crescent building, an architecturally stunning Georgian structure, sitting above the source of the famous thermal waters of Buxton on the edge of the Peak District.
Originally built between 1779 – 1789 by the Fifth Duke of Devonshire and boasting over 200 years of history, The Buxton Crescent Hotel has 81 rooms, a luxurious spa, and most importantly, exquisitely refurbished function rooms for hosting your Wedding or Civil Service.
These include the splendid 18th-century Ballroom, known as The Assembly Rooms, which have been fully refurbished to their former beauty, with breath-taking original features such as the intricately designed pink and blue ceiling with gilded detailing, complemented by historical chandeliers, Doric columns, and an original ballroom floor.
Bursting with natural light, symmetry and grandeur, the Assembly Rooms offer an opulent space for you and your guests to enjoy, with additional rooms leading off to serve different parts of your special day.
Drinks receptions take place by the Grand Staircase, where guests are welcomed into the Crescent with celebratory Champagne among paintings and artefacts showcasing the history of the building. Ascending the curved grand staircase with overhanging balcony, guests can then reach the Assembly Room Ballroom, the Card Room, Drawing Room, Library and the Blue Room, which have all been restored to highlight period features including columns, fireplaces and chandeliers. Each room also offers views overlooking the facade of the hotel and the gorgeous Buxton Slopes.
A short commute from both Manchester and Sheffield, the hotel is located between the rolling hills of the Peak District national park. Guests can book into the hotel and enjoy one of the hotel’s comfortable and luxurious rooms, each including access to the award-winning spa facilities. The hotel also offers Bridal Suites with four poster beds, a lounge area, ensuites with rolling bathtubs and views over the surrounding countryside.
The Blue Room
If you are looking for a more intimate space but equally as stunning as the Assembly Rooms, the Buxton Crescent Spa Hotel can offer to elegant Blue Room with its Georgian splendour and exquisite décor.
