Vic Holt, a psychiatrist, storyteller, comedienne and actor, will share some of her personal life experiences - some funny and some sad.
More Information (Gaydio is not responsible for external websites)
She weaves together a collection of stories including her upbringing in Cyprus, embracing her sexuality (I didn't even know that being gay was a thing for women, until I left Cyprus, aged 18, en route to London to be a student), failed relationships, training as a doctor (‘Psychiatry is a load of pants and touchy feely nonsense’ said the Vascular Consultant on my last day) and working as a child psychiatrist (I enjoyed having an office as a ‘grown up’ doctor that was full of objects meant for play and creativity) before swerving off in a different direction and going to drama school.
Vic is baring her soul and this funny, moving and memorable evening should not be missed.
Trigger warnings: The evening will include material of a sensitive nature including mental health issues.
Vic made her professional acting debut in Airswimming at the Union Theatre.
Prior to her acting training she was a member of the Drill Hall Darlings, appearing in pantomimes as well as performing her own monologues and songs. She went on to join the Not So Lovelies (a group of gay women) and later created the Vic and Nic show which consisted of comedy sketches and improvisation.
This production will be directed by Claire Evans.
